Actress Halle Berry Hit With Restraining Order By Ex-Husband Olivier Martinez On Claims She Physically And Mentally Abused Their 13-Year-Old Son Maceo Martinez (Video)
Hollywood actress, Halle Berry, 60, has been hit with a restraining order from the courts, accused of hitting her 13-year-old special needs son, Maceo Martinez. Published legal documents indicate Maceo suffers from autism, dyslexia, and other unspecified learning disorders, for which he is receiving professional medical and educational assistance. Maceo lives with Berry in Los Angeles.
Berry is being formally accused of mentally and physically abusing Maceo. A legal petition was filed by Berry’s ex-husband and fellow actor, Olivier Martinez, 60. Martinez stated in the legal filing, Maceo telephoned him last week complaining he had been attacked by Berry and wishes to leave her property.
In the legal filing Martinez alleges Berry, “physically abused” Maceo on September 26, 2026, by “jumping on him, putting her hands around his neck, and choking him.” Berry is accused of pinning him to the ground and ordering him to “tap out.”
Martinez accused Berry of angrily stating to their son 3-years ago that his dad is a, “White bit*h” who is “trying to rob a Black woman.” Martinez stated Berry asked a then 10-year-old Maceo what he would do regarding the matter, “as a Black man.” Martinez also stated Berry has threatened to have him deported to his native France in statements made in front of Maceo.
Berry’s attorney Marina Beck has publicly branded Martinez’s claims, “Entirely meritless and deliberately misleading.” Beck stated, “To say this filing is entirely meritless and deliberately misleading would be an understatement. Fortunately, Halle is used to this kind of outrageous conduct from Mr. Martinez and, while she is deeply saddened, she will not allow it to deter her from fighting for Maceo’s best interests and providing him with the love and support he needs.”
Berry has faced custody, child support, alimony and palimony legal filings by the fathers of her two children. Martinez, a former boxer, and separately her ex-boyfriend, Gabriel Aubrey, who is the father of her first child Nahla Aubrey, 18, even fought each other in Berry’s driveway. Police were called regarding the highly publicized incident.
In the past both men filed legal documents demanding substantial sums of money in relation to their children with Berry, who has a net worth of over $100,000,000. Berry pays Martinez $8,000 per month in child support.
The judge presiding over Martinez’s current petition has denied his request to deny Berry all contact with Maceo.
Recently released text messages between Berry and Martinez revealed the actress stating regarding the fight, “I feel terrible about what happened last night as I know he does as well.”
The text messages also reveal Berry stating, “No I’m not ok with it. He wants to fight his mother?? What kind of kid are we raising. As a father ask him what kind of kid is he. I’m his mother?” Martinez replied, “So u keep him at ur place? even if he [doesn’t want to] stay?”
Berry then responded, “I’m his mother and this is wrong! He had no respect for his mother and this should not be ok for you as his father!!! He is disrespectful to me and feels I have no say on anything thing. I’m just money bags! This is wrong and wrong!”
